What does Weekly Benefit – Injury mean?
From 1st November 2010, all clubs receive the basic level of cover for Non-Medicare Medical expenses and Capital Benefits cover. Clubs can choose to purchase Loss of Income cover for their members, referred to in the policy document as Weekly Benefit – Injury cover.
Prior to December 31 2010, Weekly Benefit – Injury cover was included in the base level of cover provided to female and junior participants. From 31 December 2010, this is no longer the case. There is no standard loss of income cover for any participant under the FQ Insurance Programme.
Purchasing Weekly Benefit – Injury cover is OPTIONAL. Clubs should consider the costs to players and inform members of all decisions made by the club in regard to purchasing optional cover.
How to Purchase Weekly Benefit – Injury Cover
- Step 1 Download and print the Weekly Benefit – Injury Purchase Form.
- Step 2 Complete all relevant sections of the form and calculate the total premium.
- Step 3 Sign the form, attach payment and send to JLT Sport.
- Step 4 Purchased cover will commence from the date JLT Sport receives the completed form and payment.
